Light Bureau

Hall McKnight installation

Architectural pratice Hall McKnight brought their projects to the Venice Biennale through an ingenuous display. Four vessels, held within the lattice-like timber framework, conceal in wooden chambers CNC cut models. The proposed spaces sit under a fibreglass casting of an infinity curve. Light Bureau used indirect light on the domes to create an artificial sky. The reflected illuminance on the scale-down buildings mimics daylight. A viewing mirror placed at 45 degree unveils a surreal perspective.
